Ingredients

  • 200 gram Poha or chiwra
  • 1 medium Diced potatoes
  • 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 medium Tomato (finely chopped)
  • 2 Dried chilli
  • 15-20 Ground nuts (fried)
  • 2 Diced green chillies
  • 1 pinch Heeng (asafoetida)
  • ½ inch Ginger (finely chopped)
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 pinch Mustard seeds
  • 1 pinch Jeera
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • Coriander leaves (finely chopped)

Instructions

  • To make poha firstly take a bowl. Then pour poha or chiwra and wash them well.
  • After washing strain out excess water from chiwra. Then leave them for ten minutes. Place it from the aside table.
  • Now take a non-stick pan and put it on gas. Switch on the gas and heat the pan on medium flame.
  • Now pour two tablespoons of oil into the pan and heat it well. Then for splashing, pour dried chillies, rai and jeera and curry leaves into this hot oil.
  • When they start popping add heeng (asafoetida) and simultaneously add groundnuts, finely chopped ginger and diced green chillies and diced potatoes, onion.
  • Stir them on low flame for one minute. Now add diced tomatoes. After the 20s. add turmeric powder to it and stir them. Then add red chilli powder also according to taste.
  • Now add poha or chiwra in it and mix them continue. Now add salt according to your taste and stir them for a 15s. Then turn off the gas. Now your poha is ready for serving.
  • You can serve this recipe poha with tomato sauce. You can garnish this delicious poha with small chopped coriander leaves and 1/2 tsp lemon juice (totally optional). Now get enjoy this recipe.
