Aam Panna Recipe

Homemade Aam Panna recipe made from raw mangoes, tangy spices, and a hint of sweetness, this traditional Indian drink is perfect for beating the heat.

Ingredients

  • 2 mid-sized Raw Mangoes
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Black salt also known as kala namak
  • ½ tsp Black pepper powder
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish but it is an option
  • 3-4 Ice cubes
  • 2 cups Water

Instructions

  • Gently wash the mangoes in water. Mango skins may be removed.
  • Add water and pressure cook the mangoes for two to three whistles over medium heat.
  • Lift the cover & pour the water and cooked mango pulp into a bowl. To get the pulp, squeeze the mangoes
  • Until smooth, blend the mango pulp, sugar, salt, spices, and mint. After tasting, adjust the sugar and spice amounts.
  • The Aam Panna level can be kept for a month in a clean bottle in the refrigerator.
  • Fill each glass with ¼ cup of Aam Panna essence for serving. Pour cold water into the glass Step and add ice cubes. Mix well to blend.
  • Add some mint leaves as a garnish. Serve cold Aam Ka Panna.
