Doodh Peda Recipe

Doodh Peda is a wonderful and sweet fudge-like recipe. It is made with khoya (dried milk solids), sugar, nuts, and fragrant spices.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups Milk Powder
  • 400 grams Condensed Milk
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • ¼ teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • Nuts for garnishing

Instructions

  • Heat milk in a pan. Keep heating until it becomes thicker
  • Add sugar until the milk gets thick.
  • Continue cooking till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
  • Let it cool down to room temperature.
  • Check sugar and add more sugar if required.
  • Add cardamom powder or any other flavourings to the mixture.
  • Make small equal parts of the mixture.
  • Shape into a ball or flat shape
  • Pierce nuts like almonds and pistachios at the centre
  • Store in a cool and dry place.

Notes

Important 
  • Do not add sugar when the mixture is hot. It will make the mixture sticky. Wait till the mixture has cooled down
  • The Doodh Peda can stay good at room temperature for one day. They can be stored at least for one month if kept in a refrigerator.
