Lassi Recipe

Lassi is a traditional Indian yogurt-based drink that is creamy, refreshing, and perfect for hot weather. Made with fresh curd, sugar or spices, and flavored variations, this classic Punjabi drink helps cool the body and aids digestion. Enjoy it sweet, salted, or flavored.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup thick fresh curd yogurt
  • ½ cup cold water or milk
  • 2-3 tbsp sugar to taste
  • A pinch of cardamom powder
  • Ice cubes optional
  • Topping Fresh cream or malai not compulsory

Instructions

  • Add fresh, cold curd in a blender jar or mixing bowl. To provide the creamiest texture, thick curd is used.

  • Add sugar to your liking of sweetness.

  • Leave curd and sugar to blend to a frothy mixture. Make sure there are no lumps.

  • To modify the consistency, add cold water or milk and combine, once more, until creamy.

  • Now add half pinch of cardamom powder for desired flavor and aroma.

  • Pour and serve in serving glasses over a layer of malai and serve on ice.
