The method of making Aloo Chaat goes through the following three steps –
Making Aloo Tikki Mixture
- In the start we need to Wash potatoes & place in a 2-lit cooktop pressure cooker. Also, add half a teaspoon of salt. Add sufficient water to just about cover the potatoes.
- Pressure boil for 4 to 5 whistles over low heat until potatoes are soft, fork-tender, & mashable.
- Now open the lid. Drain all of the water and set the potatoes aside on a platter to cool.

- Heat one to two tbsp of oil in a frying pan, skillet, or tawa. After setting the heat to medium, put the aloo tikkis on the pan or tawa.
- Fry the aloo tikkis starting now. Turn each tikki over and fry the other side till brown and crisp.
- When the second side is crisp and golden, turn the tikkis over once more.
- Fry until all of the alu tikkis are uniformly brown and crisp, flipping one or twice more.
